About

You already know what to do

You've read Atomic Habits. You know you should train in the morning. You know the phone is a problem. You've told your own team to set better boundaries, and meant it.

So why are you approving invoices at 9pm? Still skipping the gym because a client “needed” something? Still telling yourself you'll sort it after this quarter?

You don't have an information problem. You have a doing problem. And that gap, between knowing and doing, is the most expensive thing in your life right now.

I've spent ten years studying that gap. Why smart, driven people keep repeating the patterns they know aren't working. I didn't start with theory. I started because I was the case study.

The Backstory

How a behavioural scientist ended up coaching business owners

At 24 I was going nowhere. Partying, procrastinating, coasting through a degree I didn't care about. If you'd told me I'd finish with a PhD, I would've laughed at you.

What changed wasn't motivation. It was one insight: the gap between knowing and doing has nothing to do with willpower. It's a design problem. Environment predicts behaviour. Your daily system is producing your results, all of them, including the ones you hate. Change the system and the behaviour follows.

People reached by my research

That insight took over my life. I graduated top 1% at Griffith University, then spent years earning a PhD in behavioural science. I studied how people perform at a high level without destroying themselves in the process.

I taught marketing in Griffith's MBA programme, ranked #1 globally for six years running. I loved the research. But the people who actually changed their lives weren't in lecture halls. They were running businesses. Making hard calls under pressure every day. That's where this science actually matters. So that's where I went.

The Approach

Neither hustle culture nor wishful thinking

The coaching industry has two settings. Camp one says grind harder. Camp two says think positive and trust the universe.

If you run a business and you've already proven you can outwork everyone in the room, neither one is useful. You don't need more motivation. Discipline was never the problem. You're running a good business on a broken operating system.

That's what Impacter fixes. We use behavioural science to change the daily patterns that are producing the life you're frustrated by. When the system changes, everything else follows.

Beliefs

What I believe

01

Health is not a nice-to-have. It’s the foundation everything else stands on.

If health sits below work on your priority list, work wins every time. Health gets the scraps. Scraps don’t build armour.

02

You don’t need more information. You need someone who makes you do the thing.

You can buy any book for the price of a coffee. What you can’t buy off a shelf is someone in your corner who won’t let you off the hook.

03

Behaviour always serves a function.

Procrastination isn’t laziness. It’s protection. Scrolling isn’t wasted time. It’s numbing. Until you understand what the behaviour is doing for you, you can’t replace it. And change is replacement, not willpower.

04

Growth without purpose is just a faster treadmill.

Scaling because “that’s what you do” will get you somewhere. Whether it’s somewhere you actually want to be is a different question.

05

Systems beat willpower. Every single time.

Willpower is a fuel tank that empties under stress. The worst possible foundation for lasting change.

Off the Clock

Outside the work

When I'm not coaching, I'm on the mat. Brazilian jiu-jitsu, three to five times a week. It's the closest thing to meditation that'll also choke you out if you lose focus.

I live on the Sunshine Coast with my wife and kids. They're the reason the work matters.

What clients say

Having someone hold you accountable and just bring you back to a bit of me is so important.

A breakthrough was realising meditation is my master habit. When I prioritise it, everything else falls into place: getting up early, eating clean, exercising.

I spent 20 hours in 6 weeks, and I've gained, by far, more time, more rest, more enjoyment in life back. Totally worth the investment.
